What to do if my roommate of 2 years has asked her live-in boyfriend to move out?

He has lived with us for 1 year. Since I own the house, when he moved in I had him sign a roommate contract that stated, “There is no required notice needed for the roommate to move-out”. But now I’m worried that he will come back at me saying he has 30 days due to common tenant laws. What can I do legally?

Since you are concerned about the thirty (30) day notice requirement with respect to the roommate that is going to move out, serve him with the notice while keeping a copy letting him know that if he wants to leave before the expiration of thirty (30) days, such is fine with you.
