What is the status of a property bond after a conviction?
My mother was arrested and put up a property bond on her house. She was found guilty and served her prison time. Now that she is out she wants to transfer the house to me as she is getting older. The cash part of the bond was used to repay the victims can the state keep the lien on the house until all costs are paid off for civil suit?

Until the bond that you have written about is paid off the lien for it remains on the house and if you are transferred the home you take title to it subject to the bind needing to be paid off. In other words, if the home goes to you with the bond, you are obligated to have it paid off.
