How to legally make changes to a Will?

My mother made out her Will 12 years ago. Now she has a couple changes to make due to circumstances. We have typed up an addendum to previous Will with the changes. She signed it with 2 witnesses and a notary. Is that acceptable?

It could be but unless one views it it is difficult to state.  Changes to a Will are made by "Codocil" not addendum so right off the bat it may not comply with state law.  Also, there is certain language that should be in there referencing the original Will, etc.  Please take what you have to an attorney to review. Better to do it right.  Good luck.
