What are our legal options if my mother is 91, in poor health and needs 24 hour care but she refuses to go to a nursing home?

We and cannot afford private around the clock care.

If your Mother is eligible for Federally based programs due to her income then she may be eligible for 24 hour care as well. I would check with a social worker about it.  They are generally the best source of information.  If that is not the case then speak with an attorney about some one becoming her guardian to make decisions in her best interests.  Good luck.
