What to do if my mom took my car and was involved in a small accident but she is the excluded driver in my policy?

I’m the owner of the car. Am I responsible for this accident? Can they ask me to pay for the damages?

Yes, you can be held liable for this accident. The fact is that insurance or not both the at-fault driver and the registered owner of the vehicle can be sued. Additionally, you let an exclused driver get behind the wheel. If you are required to pay damages, you may or may not be able to sue and collect from your mother. You will need to sit down and go over the details of your case directly with a local attorney.
