What to do if my landord is trying to evict me for calling the city inspectors?

I have been asking my landlord for months to fix the leak in the roof and the mold on the walls. He kept ignoring my requests so I sent him a 7 day notice to fix the problem and he said that I could not withhold rent just because I sent him this piece of paper and gave me a 3 day notice. I had called the city code enforcment office to get an inspection and I picked up the report before I wrote the 7 day notice. He filed the eviction with the court and I put in my reply with the copy of the lease, code comliance, and the certified 7 day notice, with copy of the return receipt.

You seem to be following the statute and handling the matter correctly. The court will decide if you are entitled to a reduction in rent.  I suggest you deposit the rent into court.
