What to do if my landlord took my property and is now selling items and using my brand new equipment?
I leased out a commercial building for my business and my rent went into default I owed 1 month of rent, but the landlord has my deposit which is a full months rent. He locked the door when I was 5 days late and has kept my equipment. He is now leasing the building and the new lessee is using my products and brand new equipment. Can I sue him for the money spent on our things?

If you fell behind in your commercial lease and your former landlord locked you out of your rental without the approval of a court order and is using your equipment, what he or she did is legally improper. What the landlord did was use self help to evict you without court approval.
