What to do if my husband was injured at work due to faulty equipment?

After going through all the red tape from worker’s comp and the hospital, we had to obtain care from another hospital. After being hurt and in pain for over a month, he finally got his surgery. Is he entitled to a pain and suffering check? Another employee was hurt; he received worker’s comp and a pain and suffering settlement. Is that common practice?

Based upon what you have written about, your spouse should consult with a worker's compensation attorney in his locality that also practices in the area of plaintiff's personal injury to evaluate the situation for a possible third party action. One in his locality can be found on attorneypages.com.
