My husband just filed a divorce. What’s going to come next? Plan on traveling from May to August.

It could, if he objects to the traveling and claims that it will interfere with his parental right to visitation with the kids. Your husband has equal rights to see your children the same amount of time that you do. He has the same right to take them on vacation as well. He can, though, consent to your taking them for the journey you wish this Summer but I would strongly suggest that you get that in writing before you book any plans and lay out any money. I think that it is a good idea for you to seek some legal guidance on your pending divorce and what you rights are in every aspect of the matter: custody, visitation, support and distribution of assets. Good luck to you.
