My husband abandonded our home and immediatley bought a new home and furnished it with all new furniture. is this legal?

Okay, did this occur while you were married or separated and married? If separated, was it legal separation (i.e, through court) or after you two simply could not live together anymore?

Legality is not an issue.  It is not a crime to buy property married or otherwise.  This is not like adultery.  The issue here is are you entitled automatically to a portion of that home? Did your husband buy the house cash? Did he use monies he didn't share with you (i.e. that he didn't commingle) that he earned before he married you? Was it monies from an inheritance?

You need to do some homework.  Please read all of the laws in the links below.  They cover marital property and abandonment in Texas.
