My father died of an illness right after he was vaccinated for it

My father got a vaccine against pneumonia. Within 2 months he died of it.

It either didn’t do a thing, or caused it.

What avenues should be explored.?

IF you have medical evidence (e.g. from his treating physicians, during his final illness, or from a post-mortem examination) that the vacine caused the illness, you may have a wrongful death lawsuit. But you will need medical evidence of causation. If you can't show the vacine caused the illness, you won't recover any money, since even if the vacine did not itself protect your father, vacines are not infallible and are not expected to be infallible; and liability requires an affirmative cause for the injury or illness; therefore, you need more than the vacine arguably not working to establish liability.
