if my father died 11 years ago and there is stock that is still in his name, how do I get them transferred to my mother’s name?

She is elderly and I have power of attorney.

You can ask the brokerage company that may have possession of the stock to simply transfer the the stocks into the name of your mother under the belief that the stocks are marital assets and since your mother is the survivor of the two she is entitled to the certificates.
