You will need to go to court in a proceeding called a minor's compromise.  A minor's compromise means that the court will approve various measures to safeguard the funds from the personal injury settlement until your daughter is eighteen at which time she can receive the funds.

You will need to be appointed guardian ad litem to represent your daughter in the minor's compromise because your daughter is a minor and cannot represent herself.
