If my daughter is 15 years old and has not seen nor received any support from her biological father, how can she changeher last namw from his to mine?

She wants my last name before she gets her learner’s permit which is the name I received after marrying her stepfather. She says her stepdad is her father so how can we give her our name?

I sugegst that you consult with a family law attorney to file a petition with the court to change your daughter's surname. The biological father will need to be served with the petition.

The court will order a publication of the request in a newspaper for once a week for a month for anyone to object. After that there will be a hearing date for the request where the court will make the final decision on the matter, either granting the request or not.
