If my 485 has been pending for 4 ye years and I’m on EAD now, can I open a company and can I work for that company?
I am the primary applicant for the I-485 application.

If your I-485 is employment-based, you have to continue working for the employer that sponsored your green card. In addition to that you can work elsewhere, part time, on the basis of a valid EAD. Why is your I-485 pending for 4 years? Have you done any follow ups on that?
