Marriage, divorce, then death
My mom was married for 9 years.
They have now been divorced for 4
years. 2 days ago I heard that my
ex stepfather passed away from a
heart attack. Oh but my mom also
got a domestic violence charge
right before they divorced. Is she
at all entitled to any of the
property or wealth?

If they were divorced as you indicate, she would only inherit if he had a will leaving something to her; when there is no will, a non-spouse or an ex-spouse has no right to inherit. The domestic violence charge is irrelevant to his issue.
