If it is her car (i.e. titled/registered in her name), then she may be ticketed for running a red light: the car's owner is presumed to be the driver in cases like this, unless proven otherwise. If someone else was driving and she can prove that, then it may be that the ticket against her will be dismissed and the other person ticketed; but she will have to identify the exact person and either have them admit to it or have compelling evidence or testimony that it was the other person...and if it wasn't (if she is lying to escape the ticket), your wife could then face serious charges for lying to a court.
