Do I have any recourse my company merged with a nationwide company before I was terminated and now I am ineligible fore rehire, even with any affiliated company?
My company merged 3 months before I was terminated after 22 years. Now I am ineligible for rehire with that company or any other company under the umbrella of the nationwide company. Is this legal?

Unless this action is due to some form of legally actionable discrimination, then it is legal. In other words, unless your treatment is due to your race, religion, disability, age (over 40), national origin, etc., it is perfectly permissable. The fact is that in an "at will" work relationship, a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit, absent a union agreement or employment contract to the contrary.
