Is there anything that I can do to getmy neighbors to pay repair/replacememy computerif they damaged it by accident?

I live in an apartment. My roomate and I were on our porch and the neighbors above us decided to water their plants while we were outside, letting the water drip through their patio thus ruining my $2700 computer. The computer is only less then 2 years old.

IF the neighbors were unreasonably careless--or negligent--and thereby caused you property damage, you may have a cause of action and could sue them to recover for the damage. The question is whether they were negligent: it  may not be the case that it was unreasonably careless to water plants on a windowsill or porch. It may instead be the case that they would not be held to have had to anticipate that someone had a computer exposed outside to the water. The issue is the factual situation; you might want to consult with an attorney (many provide a free initial consultation) who can evaluate the specific facts and let you know if you may have a claim worth pursuing.
