Is there a limit on time for court ordered child support?

My son’s father was court ordered to pay support. After many arrests and loss of licence, he still never payed. His son is in trouble now and I can’t help him anymore.

Most child support orders issued by a court remain in force until the minor child reaches the age of adulthood, namely eighteen (18) years of age unless the order is changed before hand.

With respect to the child support order concerning your son, I suggest that you carefully read the child support order that you have written about and pull the court's file on the matter and read all documents within. You will then find the answer to your question as to the length of child support there.
