Is taking a vacation a violation of a monetary restraining order in a marriage?

My husband opened a new checking account for his paychecks that I have had no access to for 9 months. He just left for a week for a vacation with “his” money. Isn’t that checking account partially mine and the restraining order should keep him from this type of spending?

Absolutely. What your husband did was illegal and by hiding assets like this could cost him much more than he thinks. So you need to file a motion for contempt and ask for penalty damages to be given you. You need to see how much was there so you should ask the court to demand those records so you do not have to subpoena them and take it step by step from there.
