Sexual ridicule would be sexual harassment: it is illegal. If an employer refuses to take a report of sexual harassment seriously, they become liable for the harassment. A good idea to preserve your legal rights, in the event this is repeated or goes on, or there are any repurcussions for you, would be to put in a written complaint to HR and send it someway (email?) that you can document or prove delivery. If you can show you put them on notice and the behavior or other harassment continues, you would be better positioned to take legal action or file a complaint with the EEOC.
