Is my employer required by law in PA to move my desk away from hostile coworker?
My coworker is condescending when pointing out mistakes and it has also escalated
to malicious gossip to me involving another coworker. My employer has done
nothiing so far. I am afraid if I go to HR they will also do nothing. Please
advise.

No, your employer is not required to do this. If you find your place of work intolerable, then you can go to HR and complain, or quit. The fact is that a company can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination). Therefore, unless this situation in some way violates the terms of an employment contract or union agreemnt, it is perfectly permissable. Your employer is under no duty to take action.
