Is it possible to get out of a cell phone contract, when you do not get the coverage you expect?

Poor or no coverage; dropped calls; no Internet service. Was given a signal booster that didn’t help at all. Was told could not get out of contract.

More important than what you expected is what you were promised.  Did the carrier give you anything in writing that promised certain coverage or quality of the network?  If you were promised one thing and received another, then the cell phone carrier breached the contract first and you can get out of it.  You might want to retain an attorney to write a letter stating that you are cancelling and why you do not owe the company any additional money.
