Is it legal for a company to keep your last worked paycheck?
I quit my job and they refuse to release my last paycheck for hours worked and commission. It’s going on 3 weeks since I have left the company.

In MI, when an employee quits, their employer must pay them for all wages due by the regularly scheduled payday (except for employees engaged in hand harvesting who must be paid within one working day). Since your former employer is now in violation of the law, you can either sue them in small claims court (and recover your wages plus court costs) or you can file a wage claim with your state's department of labor.
