Is it legal for a collection agency to garnish my wages for a car that I co-signed for over 13 years ago?

This car was reposessed back then and the debt was wrote off. Not only that, but they are wanting like 3 times the original amount of the car. It’s not even the finance company that originally had the loan. It’s costing me a quarter of my check every pay period which makes life that much tougher.

if they got a judgment way back then it is stil valid and can be collected today .  work out a deal with the lawyer to make smaller payments and stop the garn, or file a bankruptcy and stop it and eliminate your debts
