I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  You can get a divorce if you want.  The court does not disallow people to get a divorce because it does not like the reasons for the divorce.  The reason that you have however, will not suffice in the complaint as the basis.  usually, people cite "irreconciable differences" as the basis for the divorce.  If youare doing this for financial reasons i suggest you consult with your lawyer before you do something that you may not have needed to do.
