Is husband’s old will valid if second wife is not mentioned in it? The will is over 30 years old

My husband has an old will that he wrote before he married me.  Is it still valid? I am not mentioned in this will from thirty years ago.

In general when a person gets married any Will in existence prior to the marriage becomes null and void. Although each state will have state specific regulations this is the general rule. What I would suggest you doing is that you can call a local attorney who specializes in this area of law. If you need a new Will drafted they can advise you as to how to go about doing so and will also be able to very easily tell you if your husbands Will is still valid in IL.

As I said I would suggest it is not. Basically Wills become void when certain life altering events occur, marriage being one of them. But again check with your local attorney for verification and good luck. Thanks for posting
