Is a marriage in Mexico recognized in the US?

I recently found out my wife was married in Mexic, and 4 years ago we married. Is my marriage valid?

The general rule is that a marriage that is validly entered in to in another country is recognized here in the United States.  So if your wife was legally married in Mexico before she was married to you then your marriage is not valid.  It is void.  You wife did not have what is known as the capacity to contract.  Now, you need to seek legal help here to decide what to do.  It would still be a good idea to have a judge formally declare your marriage void if that is the avenue you wish to pursue. Good luck.
