Is the seller asking this? What I think that they are making sure of is that you are not going to make a claim on the proeprty as marital property so although you are not the title owner, they are asking you to sign. If I were a buyer's attorney I would want something that basically shows you have no right to the property or an acquiesence to the sale, whcih would be your signing the contract. Good luck.
