If the accused in a domestic violence action (criminal matter) pleads guilty to the charge against him or her, there is no need for the alleged victim to appear in court and testify. The reason is that th accused has admitted guilt in court on the record. As such, the case will not be dropped if the alleged victim fails to appear and testify under the fact pattern you have presented.
