No, your company does not have the right to do this, unless you gave them the right. They could, however, threaten to fire you if you don't let them do this (assuming you do not have an employment contract which would prohibit it in one way or another); therefore, you could be put into a position where you have to choose between your job and the search, but you have the right to refuse the search and leave.
