In CA can my boss share my personal information with other employees?

I currently had a conversation between my boss and I about some personal matters
thats why i was texting him and only him, after the conversation he copied the
texts and put that into our work group messages for everyone to see. Can he do
that legally? some of the info was about some medical things.

There is generally no expectation of privacy in the workplace regarding such matters. That is unless provided for via the terms of a union agreement or employment contract. Also, no form of leaglly actionable discrimination must be the reason for an employee's treatment. Absent that, a company can disseminate the contents of employee communictions, even if of a personal nature. While unprofessionl, it is legal.
