If I’m a firefighter and work 24 hours on and 48 hours off, will that affect me being able to get at least 50/50 custody?

I’m about to file for divorce. I have 3 children all with the same mom who has been my wife for 15 years. I would like atleast 50% custody because my kids rather be with me then there mom beause I honestly am a better caretaker for them. However she is not an unfit mom, just not a great mom like I am a great dad. What are my options?

You sound like a fair and caring man, for both your children and your soon to be ex wife.  There are various types of custody in every state.  You can absolutely have joint custody as an option but the physical custody (or primary residential custody) may be something that is difficult to put in to set terms given your schedule.  Your wife may have to be flexible and that needs to be written in to the agreement.  I would seek help from an attorney in your area.  Good luck.
