I work 40 hours a week every week for a security company was told to stay home Monday I want to know if they should pay us other companies are still paying their employees for the time lost because of the hurricane

If you did not work, you do not have to be paid: the law is very clear about that. Companies do not have to pay employees when the company is not open or that individual person does not work; and furthermore, employers have 100% control over when employees work, and can tell employees to stay home (and not pay them). Other companies may be choosing to pay, but that is their choice; it does not obligate your employer to pay.
The only exception to the above is if you have a written employment contract for a set period of time (e.g a one-year contract) which has not expired and which requires your payment: if so, you must be paid--but only if you have such a contract.
