If you violated your parole you can defend against the violation.  An attorney possibly could get the charge thrown out or at least get the penalties for violation minimized.  It is key to contact an attorney immediately.  Once the penalty for the parole has been imposed it's basically is too late to appeal it.

This is based on my research.  I am not however, licensed to practice in Louisiana.  Your best bet is to consult with an attorney in your area.  He will be able to more fully inform you of your rights.
