If you do not go in for questioning, will you be arrested?

A detective came to my house and said that I was identified by witnesses jumping off of a roof with 2 males, getting in my car and driving away. They have a vague description race and gender and my plate numbers. The house was empty and for sale. Will they use the witnesses statement to arrest me? I have no criminal record and I was advised by lawyers to not go in for questioning. If I am arrested, what can I expect to be charged with?

You have been well advised. Do not let the police question you; you are under no duty to speak with them (even of they come to your house). They are experienced and trained in getting suspects to make incriminating statements either about themselves or others. Therefore, do not go to the police station, at least not without having an attorney present with you. At this point, you really should retain local counsel as they can best advise you further.
