There are a lot of trickey elements to this question and you should consider speaking with an attorney asap.  How "adult" are you?  Emancipated under the law and agreement for support?  If back support is owed the parent it is owed to generally has to sue to get a judgement (which is very important in order to collect).  Some times the "child" can step in under a 3rd party beneficiary theory but it really depends.  Go and speak with some one.  Soon.
