I am so sorry for your loss.  Inheritance is known as "unearned income" under the law and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits are not affected by unearned income. Your SSD benefits were based upon your earnings history and taxes paid into the program. It entitles you to income regardless of your assets or here, your inheritance.  Good luck.
