If someone goes AWOL at 18 y.o.a. from the Army is it possible to become a Police Officer when he/she is 27 in West Virginia?

Also had a charge of Petit Larceny at 18, but not so much worried about that as much as having been AWOL.

I obviously assume that the AWOL has been remedied.  That being the case, these are the requirments for the West Virginia State Police (the requirements for local police departments more than likely follow this model but you would have to check with the specific jurisdiction):
