If a seller dies during a signed purchase and sales agreement for a house, does the buyer still get the house?

If the contract was already signed, then the buyer still gets the house, but the payments will be due to the estate or heir of the deceased seller.
If the house was in the process of being sold, but the house was 'under contract', then the wording of the contract will control whether or not the sale will go through.
