If my regular shift is 10 hours/day, 40 hours/week, should I be paid 10 hours for holiday pay when we are closed for that day?

I am currently havimg to use my “earned time” to cover 2 hours of pay since my employer is only paying me for 8 hours on holidays.

Employers are not required to give holiday pay at all there are no laws requiring paid holidays. If the workplace is closed, the employer does not need to pay you at all. Any amount of holiday pay you receive is something your employer voluntarily chooses to give you. Since it is voluntary, the employer can choose how much if any to pay you, and may pay you for less than your usual shift.
