Due to the something called the "Driver License Compact" DLC, your driving record will follow you to most states. Under the compact, any traffic offenses that occur in a different state are treated as if they occurred in the state in which you are licensed. Therefore, if your license is suspended/revoked, it will probably be suspended in any other state that you may relocate to. And, if you apply for a license in a new state, your suspension/revocation will prevent you from being issued a new license because when you apply for a driver's license, the DMV checks to see if your name appears on the database containing the names of people who have had their license suspended/revoked.
