If myself and2 others sign a lease for 1 year, are any of the2 allowed to contact the landlord and remove me from the lease?

Can they contact the landlord and ask the landlord to evict or remove you? Yes--anyone can *ask* for anything they like. But, as the saying goes, talk is cheap...asking doesn't mean anything will happen.

Can the landlord remove you from the lease? No, not unless either 1) you agree to be removed, since ALL parties to a contract (which is what a lease is, after all) must concur to a change, like removing one of the parties; or 2) you personally do something which gives the landlord grounds to evict you (a material, or important, breach of lease terms; deliberate destruction of the landlord's property; etc.).
