If I work for a different division of the same company are they allowed separate my hours a the end of the year

In order to qualify for vacation i have to
have 1500 hrs a year ..I have 1200 hrs with
one part of the company and 330 hrs with the
other part..I’m being told that they don’t
combine the hours, even though they use the
same employee number for both divisions.is
that legal??

It is unfair, but legal. Employers are not required to provide vacation time at all; it is purely voluntary for them to do so. Since it is voluntary, they are free to out any rules or restrictions they like on accruing it, including not combining hours from different divisions.
