Does my insurance company care?

Since you were not at fault in the accident, your expired driver's license is not an issue regarding the accident.  Unrelated to the accident, if the police investigated the accident, you might get a ticket for driving with an expired license.
Since you were not at fault in the accident, your property damage claim (cost of repairs to your vehicle) and personal injury claim (if you were injured) would be filed with the at-fault party's insurance carrier.  Again, your expired license should not be a concern to either your insurance carrier or the at-fault party's insurance carrier because you were not at fault in the accident.
