If you have uninsured motorist coverage, you can file an uninsured motorist claim with your insurance carrier.  You can receive compensation for the property damage (cost of repairs to your vehicle) and if injured, compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering which is an amount in addition to the medical bills, and wage loss.
