If I’m rear-ended by and uninsured motorist, can the insurance company rasie my rates when I file a claim?

Not really unless you're at fault. The way it generally works is, if you are surcharged (caused the accident and caused over a certain amount of damage (around $2500)), then your "safe driver" deduction is dropped--which has the result of raising your rate. But if you were not determined at fault, then it's unlikely they were raised. If you were injured, you should contact a lawyer.
