If I got married in 24 years ago in one state but now live in another and am getting a divorce, which states laws apply?

The laws in the state in which you file for divorce would be the laws that would apply to the specifics of your divorce.  It is best if you at least have a consultation with an family law or divorce attorney prior to filing.  24 years is a long marriage and you may have a lot of assets and property to divide.  Good luck to you.
