Assuming you paid money up front to this producer five (5) years ago and have yet to receive the album that you paid for, it seems that you are not going to get the final product. I would write the producer a letter demanding the return of your money and the recordings by a set date. If you do not receive such, you should consult with an attorney experienced in contract law as to whether a lawsuit is the proper remedy at this time.

Keep a copy of your letter for future use and reference to the producer.
